Obituary

Konstantinos Fotiadis, 91, of Dartmouth died June 28, 2018 at home after a brief illness.
He was the husband of Ekaterini (Tsagarli) Fotiadis.
Born in Maikop, Russia, the son of the late Polihronis and Anna (Mavropoulou) Fotiadis, he was raised in Greece before moving to New Bedford in 1965.
Konstantinos was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
He was formerly employed as a forklift driver at Maritime Terminal and founded Charlie's Pizza with his wife until his retirement.
Konstantinos served in the Greek Army from 1950-1952.
He enjoyed dancing, bowling and watching sports, especially soccer. He had a zest for life and loved people and was known as Charlie The Greek.
Survivors include his wife; 2 daughters, Kyriaki Fotiadis of Dartmouth and Daphne Vrakas and her husband George of Fairhaven; 3 grandsons, Paul Fotiadis, Athanasios Vrakas and Konstantinos Vrakas; a great-granddaughter, Athena; a niece, Kyriaki Gravanis of Winchester, MA and several nieces and nephews in Greece; and a great-niece, Stacie Papagiannis.
He was the brother of the late Avraam Fotiadis and Elpida Solomonidis.
His Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 3rd at 11 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Cross Rd., Dartmouth. His family will receive guests Tuesday morning from 10 AM - 11 AM at church prior to his service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, July 2nd from 5-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
