MYSTIC: Jeffrey David Martinek of Mystic died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 14, at age 50.
Jeff is survived by his daughter, Lily Irene Martinek of Mystic, his mother Joanne Martinek of Arizona, sisters Mary Connell of Illinois, Ann Law of California, Ellen Straine, Amy Schuster, Katherine Martinek of Mystic and brother John Martinek Jr. of Arizona. He is predeceased by his father John Martinek Sr. of Arizona.
Jeff was a master auto mechanic for many years and jack-of-all-trades. He was a talented musician and was a founding member of the band Sacred Reich and many other bands in Connecticut.
He loved camping, fishing and clamming. Jeff was funny and always had time to help family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many.
All funeral services will be private for the family.
