Edna K. (Fraser) McDougall, of Andover, formerly of Medford, died Tuesday, June 19th. She was 97. Born and raised in Musquodoboit, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Ruth (Pyke) Fraser.
Edna was a phenomenal knitter, she enjoyed making scarves and slippers for everyone, even if you didn't want them, Edna was adamant that you were going to have them. She also enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, and catching up on her reading.
An avid Red Sox fan, Edna made it clear that she was off limits and no one was to bother her during game time. When she was not watching the Red Sox, she loved to accompany her daughter Michele on car rides didn't matter if they were going to the corner store or to a further destination she was pleased to join her everywhere. She was a devoted wife, mother grandmother and great-grandmother and will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and friends.
Edna was the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. McDougall. She was the devoted mother of Thomas McDougall of Japan, Michele Sarcia and her husband Joe of North Andover, and the late Joseph McDougall and Janette Bavota. Also, survived by her daughter in law, Jean McDougall. Loving grandmother of Melissa Arnone, Cinde McDougall, Joseph McDougall Jr., and Janelle Bavota. Loving great-grandmother of Will, Rainah and Jeffrey, and great, great grandmother of Javion Joseph.
A funeral service will be celebrated in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street., Medford, on Friday, June 22nd at 7 PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with the family from 4 - 8 PM. Interment private
