Helen E. Lindquist, 89, of West Boylston died peacefully on Thursday November 10, 2005, in the Oakdale Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth A. Lindquist who died in 1982. She leaves her loving family, four daughters, Susan E., wife of George J. Colangelo of West Boylston; Meredith A. Lindquist of West Boylston; Jane A., wife of Paul H. Williams of Westboro and Deborah H., wife of Robert F. Johnson of West Boylston; nine grandchildren, Matthew Colangelo and his wife, Amy; Elisabeth Sanders, wife of Mitchell; Jennifer Glickman, wife of James; Sarah, Peter and Jeffrey Williams; and Andrea, Lauren and Britta Johnson, one grandchild, Amy Stidsen predeceased her. She also leaves seven great-grandchildren, Jonathon, Mia and Benjamin Sanders; Samuel and Abigail Colangelo; Jonah and Max Glickman.
She was born on November 27, 1915 in Worcester, daughter of Adolf and Augusta Ljungquist. Three brothers, Harry, Roland and Lincoln Ljungquist and two sisters, Amy Anderson and Mildred Wilson predeceased her.
She graduated from Commerce High School. A life long member of Salem Covenant Church, she was the past president of Covenant Woman Ministries, a youth counselor and active in the church until her eighties.
A memorial service will be held on November 25 at 2 PM at Salem Covenant Church. Burial will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Salem Covenant Church, 215 East Mountain Street, Worcester 01606.
