Adamsville, RI – Grace D. Case, 101, of 34 Main Street, Adamsville, RI died Thursday, November 17, 2005 at her home. She was the widow of Lloyd A. Case.
She was born in Fall River, daughter of the late George W. and Bessie (Snyder) Dewsnap, and had resided in Adamsville since 1931. She was a 1923 graduate of B.M. C. Durfee High School and a 1926 graduate of Dean Junior College. Mrs. Case was the recipient of the Town of Little Compton’s “Boston Post Cane” as the oldest resident of the town. For many years she and her husband Lloyd ran White House Antiques from their home in Adamsville.
She is survived by a second cousin: J. Michael Dewsnap of Braintree, MA and by her sister-in-law: Ida Case of Newport, RI as well as several nieces and nephews of her late husband.
She was the sister of the late Pearl D. McMullin.
There will be a service in her memory held at 11:00 A.M., November 22, 2005 at the Old Stone Baptist Church, Tiverton, RI.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton, adjacent to the church.
