Fall River – Margaret L. (Cowles) Sullivan, 95, of Westport died Thursday, November 10, 2005 at Catholic Memorial Home. She was the widow of John F. Sullivan, Jr.
Mrs. Sullivan was born in Manchester, CT, daughter of the late James B. and Margaret E. (Slattery) Cowles, and had resided in Providence, RI for most of her life. She was a graduate of Union Hospital School of Nursing, Fall River. She was a registered nurse at the former Union Hospital and also worked as a private duty nurse. She worked at the former Providence Lying-In Hospital where she was head nurse on her floor. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport, a former communicant of St. Pius V Church, Providence and was a member of the St. John the Baptist Women’s Guild.
She is survived by a daughter: Joan L. Brenckle and her husband Paul L. of Westport; 3 grandchildren: Matthew P. Brenckle, Katherine C. Brenckle and Joana P. Brenckle; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, November 19, 2005 at St John the Baptist Church, Westport at 11:00 A.M.
Interment will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
