BRIDGEWATER - Jenny (Gabriele) Gothage, 85, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton and Falmouth, died Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2005, at Life Care Center of West Bridgewater, after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Samuel J. Gothage.
Born in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Emilia (Feroli) Gabriele.
Mrs. Gothage attended Brockton schools.
She enjoyed sewing, knitting, oil painting and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Gothage had resided in Bridgewater for the past 12 years, coming from Brockton and Falmouth.
She is survived by her children, Richard Gothage and his wife Elaine of Newburyport, Barbara Gothage of Bridgewater, Beverly Morrissey and her husband Stephen of Atlanta, Ga., and Robert Gothage of Bridgewater; her siblings, Ida Hyder, Alba D’Antuono, Louise Cataldo, Rose Gabriele, Anthony Gabriele and Frank Gabriele; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was also sister of the late Lena Oriola.
Her funeral will be held from the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rt.18), Bridgewater, Saturday at 10:15 am., followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Church, East Bridgewater, at 11 am.
Visiting hours are Friday 4-8 pm. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
