Obituary

Richard F. “Dick” Hogan, 84, of Danvers, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, following a long illness. He was the devoted husband of Barbara V. (Struzinski) Hogn with whom he shared 57 years of marriage.
Born and raised in Salem, he was the son of the late James and Margaret (Nangle) Hogan. Dick served honorably as a rescue firefighter in Korea with the U.S. Air Force. Following his tour of duty he returned to Salem and shortly after married Barbara. He and his family moved to Danvers in 1972. Dick retired from Massachusetts Electric Co. with forty years with the company.
In addition to his wife Barbara, he is survived by his son Richard P. Hogan and his wife Diane of Marblehead, his daughter Barbara D. Carnevale and her husband Jeffery of Rowley, three grandsons, Shane, Shamus & Shea Hogan of Marblehead and granddaughter Jennifer Carnevale of Salem, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, James, Thomas & Robert Hogan and his sister, Mary Wanamaker.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 8:00 to 10:00 AM to be followed by his Mass of Christian Burial in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers at 11:00 AM.
