Obituary



Marion E. Lentine, a long-time Medford resident and Past-President of the Santa Maria Lodge of the Sons of Italy, died Tuesday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was 83.


Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Filippo and the late Josephine (Dellaria) Toscano. Marion was a proud graduate of Girls High School, Boston, with the class of 1940. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and splendid homemaker. She seved as Past President, Secretery and Treasurer of the Santa Maria Lodge, Sons of Italy Medford and was a member for 55 years.


She was the beloved wife and childhood sweetheart of the late Stephen M. “Steve” Lentine, Sr. she was a devoted mother of Dr. Stephen M. Lentine, Jr. and his wife Josephine “Jo-Marie” of Winchester, Suzanne Lentine-Greene and her husband John of Medford. She was a cherished grandmother of Michelle and Danielle Lentine of Winchester and Gia Marie Greene of Medford. She was the dear sister of Rose Nilo and her husband Richard of Medford, Louis D’Addario of Saugus. She was a loving aunt of Richard Nilo and Krista Downs, and great-aunt of Matthew Nilo, Alexa and Thomas Downs.


Her Funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 3 - 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery.
