LOWELL - Stephanie Lynn McLaughlin, age 28, a lifelong resident of Lowell and well known bartender in downtown Lowell, died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Winchester, NH, early Thursday morning, May 24.
Stephanie was the daughter of Shannon Marie (Gawlik) and Michael O’Neill of Lowell, and was predeceased by her biological mother, Darlene Jean Gawlik. She lived in the Christian Hill section of Lowell her entire life, attended Lowell public schools, and was a member of Lowell High School’s Class of 2008.
She was a bartender at the Athenian Corner Restaurant in downtown Lowell, where she had worked for the last eight years. She had recently, shifted careers, and was working toward her certification as Certified Nursing Assistant at Mt. Wachusetts Community College in Gardner.
Stephanie was a loyal Facebook user, loved spending time with her family and friends, and time walking and hiking with her brother Josh. She will be dearly missed by those who loved her.
Besides her parents, she leaves a brother Joshua M. O’Neill of Lowell; a sister, Madison R. O’Neill of Lowell; maternal grandfather, Edward M. Gawlik Jr. of Lowell; paternal grandparents, Richard and Carol (Cole) O’Neill of Tewksbury; uncle Edward M. “Mike” Gawlik III of Lowell; aunts, Kathleen Hughes and her husband Walter of Bradford, Kelley Giasullo and her husband James Jr. of Tewksbury, Colleen Stephens of Tewksbury, Cheryl O’Neill of Nashua; and numerous cousins.
She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Janet (Garbowski) Gawlik, who died in April 2017.
Visiting hours Tuesday, May 29, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER, Ph. (800 in MA or 978) 851 2950.
