Obituary

Boylston—Jef Elmer Felch, 70, died Monday, November 14, 2005, in Autumn Village. He was born in Boylston, son of Hal and Violet (Rogers) Felch. He was a graduate of Boylston Consolidated School (BGA member) and Worcester Boy’s Trade School. He was employed for many years at Scott Associates in Clinton. He also worked at Aquatek and Mt. Pleasant Country Club. Jef was a member of First Congregational Church of Boylston, Boylston Grange, Blue Lodge of Masons, and the Boylston Graduates Association (BGA). He was a U.S. Army veteran and served in Alaska in 1959 when Alaska finally achieved statehood, becoming the 49th State. His hobbies included playing pitch, golfing, and bowling; he was a champion horseshoe player.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia “Ginnie” (Everard) Felch; 4 children, Jef Felch, Jr. and his wife Tammy of Shrewsbury, Michael Felch and his wife Michelle of Boylston, Kelly Felch and her fiancé Mark Glidden of Sunapee, NH, and Christopher Felch of Boylston; 6 grandchildren; and many cousins, nephews, and nieces. The last of the Felch Clan, he was predeceased by brothers, Leland and Roger Felch and sister, Shirley Kemp.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, Nov. 18, at First Congregational Church of Boylston. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln St., Worcester.
