Laura O. Fitzpatrick, age 89, died peacefully on Saturday June 1, 2002 at the Presidential Oaks Nursing Home of Concord, N.H.
She was born in Medford on January 1, 1913 to the late John and Winnifred (Burke) Owens. Laura was a lifelong resident of Medford, a graduate of Medford High School as well as the New England Institute of Applied Arts and Sciences.
She was a member of Zonta (National Business Women's Organization), the Mystic Players Theatrical Group, as well as the Medford Womens Club.
After her beloved husband, J. Warren Fitzpatrick passed away in 1959, Laura became a funeral director and owner of the Fitzpatrick Funeral Home of Medford. Laura was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who will be sorely missed.
She is the beloved wife of the late J. Warren Fitzpatrick. Loving mother of Frank J. Fitzpatrick of Weare, N.H., and Joyce Fitzpatrick of San Diego, CA.
Donations in Laura's memory may be made to the Society for Progressive Supranuclear Palsey, Woodholme Medical Building, Suite 515, 1838 Green Tree Road, Baltimore, MD 21208.Her funeral service will be held in the First Baptist Church, 31 Oakland Street, Medford, Wednesday at 10:00 o'clock. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held in the Beals-Geake-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 29 Governors Avenue, Medford, Tuesday, from 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
