Obituary

Minnie B. Williamson, 82, of the Salem Community in Ben Hill County, died Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Dorminy Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2005, at Salem Baptist Church, with Rev. Danny Lovett and Rev. Tommy Land, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Williamson was born June 25, 1923, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to the late Millard M. and Lizzie Livingston Smith. She lived in the community all of her life. Mrs. Williamson was a homemaker and a former employee of Custom Sports Wear, H.R. Kaminsky & Sons and Rochelle Sewing Factory. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church and the Senior Women’s Sunday School Class. Mrs. Williamson was a member of the Woodmen Of The World Society.

Mrs. Williamson is survived by two sons and a daughter: J. Printis Williamson of Gordon, Calvin L. Williamson and Debra A. Reaves, both of the Salem Community; 8 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Catherine Mathis of the Salem Community. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.A. “Buck” Williamson and a brother, Avery Smith.
