Obituary

Roland J. Lefebvre, 83, of Dartmouth died November 15, 2005 unexpectedly at home.
He was the husband of Theresa M. (Gosselin) Lefebvre with whom he would have celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on November 26th.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of the late Jean B. and Melina (Archambault) Lefebvre, he lived in Dartmouth for the past 34 years.
Mr. Lefebvre was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church.
He was formerly employed by the New Bedford Fire Department for 35 years before retiring as a lieutenant.
Mr. Lefebvre served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and was the recipient of the Asiatic-Pacific Area Campaign medal, the American Area Campaign medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was a member of American Legion Post 1 in New Bedford and the Freetown Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6643.
Mr. Lefebvre enjoyed cribbage, yard work, travel and attending the Dartmouth Senior Daycare.
Survivors include his wife; 2 sons, Dr. Paul Lefebvre, and his wife Denise, of Tiverton, RI and Dr. Steven Lefebvre, and his wife Rebecca, of Rochester, NY; 2 daughters, Diane St. Clair, and her husband Charles, of New Bedford and Elaine Tulka, and her husband John, of East Falmouth; 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Herve Lefebvre, Yvonne Lefebvre, Philip Lefebvre, Raymond Lefebvre, Francis Lefebvre, Blanche Letendre, Marie Shea and Yvette Hevey.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Friday, November 18th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Julie Billiart Church at 10 AM.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Thursday, November 17th from 4-8 PM.
Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery.
