Agnes D. (Pender) Rogan, age 100, of Burlington formerly of Woburn, passed away at the Lahey Clinic on Sunday, November 13, 2005. Agnes was the beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Rogan. They married in 1932 and later settled in Woburn with their three children. Born in Woburn, October 13, 1905, she was the youngest of six children of the late Edmund and Catherine (Reidy) Pender. She was a lifelong resident of Woburn, living there independently until the age of 98 after which she lived with her daughter in Burlington. Agnes was a graduate of St. Charles High School, class of 1924. She was employed for many years in her brother´s store, Jim Penders´s sporting goods store, located in Woburn’s south end.
In addition to her late husband and parents, Agnes is predeceased by her son-in-law, Richard Nohelty, sisters, Mary Meehan and Catherine Whittie, and brothers, John, Jim and Walter Pender. She is survived by her children Daniel Rogan and his wife Maria of East Falmouth, formerly of Chelmsford, Mary Nohelty of Burlington, Richard Rogan and his wife Carol of Calabash, NC, formerly of Hudson, MA and nephew George Whittie of Woburn. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Richard and Carol Nohelty of Andover, Michael and Janice Nohelty of Pelham, NH, Diane and Michael Linnehan, Thomas and Margaret Nohelty of Chelmsford, Jeanette and Paul Johnson of Ludlow, James and Joanne Rogan of Berlin, Robert and Nancy Rogan of Littleton, Major John Rogan U.S. Army and Kathleen Rogan of CO, Jennifer and Alan Cramer of OR, Stephen and Jenna Rogan of Lakeville, Christine and Michael Starbuck of CA, and grandniece Katie Whittie of Woburn. She is further survived by 22 great grandchildren, Annalese, Nicole, Megan, Eric, Alex, Richard, Michelle, and Heather Nohelty, Courtney, Matthew and Andrew Linnehan, Elise Rogan and Elvis Starbuck, Rachel, Pricilla, Alexandra, Zachary and Maxwell Johnson, Marissa, Luke and Julian Rogan and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Friday, at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Charles Church, 280 Main St. Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Thursday 4 thru 8. Services will conclude with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Woburn.
