WEBSTER – Margaret M. (Ryan) Slota, 80, of 21 Brandes St., died Monday, Nov. 14, in Oakwood Rehab & Nursing Center. Her husband of 40 years, Henry P. Slota, died in 1989.
She leaves 2 sons, Peter F. Slota and his wife Linda M. of Webster, and Michael S. Slota and his wife Jo Ann of Putnam, CT; 2 daughters, Patricia A. Hollingsworth and her fiancé Donald G. Stuart of Webster, and Mary K. Slota of Webster; a sister, Patricia A. Ciesluk of Worcester; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Jared, Stephen, Shannon, and James; nieces and nephews.
She was born in Webster, the daughter of David and Mildred (Paranto) Ryan. She graduated from Bart-lett High School in 1942.
Mrs. Slota worked for many local businesses including Webster Nursing Home, Hubbard Regional Hospital, and the Visiting Nurse Association before she retired.
She was a member of Saint Louis Church and a charter member of the PAV Women’s Auxiliary.
The funeral will be held Thursday, Nov. 17, from Scanlon Funeral Service, East Main St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake St. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dudley. A calling hour will be from 8:30 to 9:30 AM Thursday, Nov. 17, in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either Saint Louis School Endowment Fund, 15 Lake St., or to the VNA of Southern Worcester County, PO Box 368, both Webster, MA 01570.
