Laconia----Betty L. (Rote) Strine, 88, formerly longtime resident of Laconia , died on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Franklin Region Hospital, Franklin NH.
Betty was born on August 13, 1929 in Lancaster, PA the daughter of Angie (Yuningier) Rote and Luther W. Rote, Sr. She had previously lived in Concord and Laconia.
Betty was a secretary, homemaker and hospital volunteer, she worked for St. Paul's School and Lakes Region General Hospital. Betty was a member of the LRGH Auxiliary and was a recipient awarded LRGH volunteer of the year .
Betty enjoyed dancing and gardening but most of all Betty loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include a son, Robert A. Strine, Jr. of Contoocook; a daughter, Luann Phillips, of Queensbury, NY; seven grandchildren, Paxton, Paige and Parker, of Contoocook, Becky, of Bow, Matt, of Queensbury, NY , Mike, of Truckee, CA and Austin of Manchester; a sister, Jean and several nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Robert A. Strine, Sr. and by her siblings, Robert, Lavern, Luther, Esther, Ruth and Doris.
According to her wishes, there will be no calling hours.
A Private Family Burial will be held in the Longenecker's Reformed Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA.
