FALMOUTH- Juan Edward Perez of Falmouth Maine passed away on April 26th, 2018 at the age of 89.
Born in Corinth, NY on April 10th, 1929, he was the son of Eduardo and Doris Perez. After graduating high school, Juan served in the Navy as a radioman and then went on to attend the University of Buffalo where he received his engineering degree. He worked for the General Electric Company for 20 years as a structural engineer and later as head of advanced manufacturing before moving to Maine and becoming self-employed.
Juan met his wife Lois in high school and they shared 67 loving years of marriage together. He was an active member of the Portland congregation of Jehovah’s witnesses for over 56 years and enjoyed helping others learn more about the Bible. His interests included hunting, fishing, playing cribbage and going for walks with his dog. Juan will always be remembered for his warm personality and ability to make everyone feel like family.
Juan was predeceased by his son Stephen and is survived by his wife Lois and his children Mark, Drew and Joel, his 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held May 5, 2018 at 5:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 355 Canco Rd, Portland, ME 04103.
