Edward S. Helbling, 27, of Leominster, MA died Thursday November 10, 2005 at his home. Ed was born in Chicago, IL on April 15, 1978 a son of Robert J. and Madeline Helbling. Ed had resided in Leominster for the past 1 ½ years, formerly living in Windham, NH. He was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH class of 1996 and attended Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, MA. Ed was employed by Dimension Data in Natick, MA. He enjoyed aquariums, computers and was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He is survived by his parents, Robert J. and Madeline Helbling of Windham, his twin brother, James Helbling of Boston, MA, his sister, Dr. Lisa (Helbling) Chadwick and her husband Brian of Durham, NC, his maternal grandparents, Maurice Edward and Noelita Kiefer of Sarasota, FL. Ed also leaves behind three uncles, two aunts, and several cousins.
A funeral liturgy was held on Tuesday, November 15th at 10:00 AM at St. Matthew Church, 2 Searles Rd., Windham, NH. The burial followed in the Cemetery on the Hill also in Windham. Calling hours were on Monday, November 14th from 5 – 9 PM in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Gail Singer Memorial Building, 360 Route 101, Bedford, NH 03110.
