Obituary

Vincent Paul “Vin” Sica passed away peacefully on April 10, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. He was 95 years old.

Vin was born, raised and resided in Malden, son of the late Dominic and Edith (Boynton) Sica. He was a United States Army Veteran who served in the Philippines during World War II.
Vin enjoyed watching sports especially the Red Sox and Patriots; a talented drummer playing in many marching bands and orchestras during his life time. He was an active member for many years of the Sons of Italy Club in Malden and the American Legion Post, and VFW Post 2346, both of Saugus.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Ilda (Cocuzzo) Sica; daughter, RoseAnn Nee and her husband, John, of New Hampshire; son, Paul Sica, and his wife, Sheila, of Tewksbury; son, Thomas, and his wife, Nancy, of Malden; five grandchildren, Brian Nee and his wife, Linda; Kristen Nee and fiancé, Chris Hollifield; Steven Sica and his wife, Diane; William Sica and his wife, Amie; Jeanna Quigley and her husband, Robert. His greatest pride was his five great-grand children; Connor, Duncan, Tyler, Haylee, and Aubrey. Vin also leaves behind a brother,
Albert Sica, of California. He is predeceased by six brothers and three sisters.

The funeral will be held from the A. J. Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Saturday April 14th at 9:00am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 4-8pm.
Burial with military honors will be held at Forest Dale Cemetery.
