Phyllis A. Lange

...retired from Modicon in Andover; 64

LOWELL - Phyllis A. (Carpenito) Lange, age 64, a retired accountant for several well knownarea companies, died Saturday night, June 15, at her son’s home in Lowell, after a 6 year battlewith cancer. She was the wife of Curtis G. Lange, who died in 1986.

She was born in East Boston, May 26, 1938, a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary(Pagliarulo) Carpenito, and was raised in East Boston and Revere. She had lived the greater partof her life in the Belvedere section of Lowell. She had graduated from Revere High School, andlater earned her Bachelors Degree in Accounting and Finance from Merrimack College in No.Andover.

She began her career at U.S. Bethlehem Steel in Boston, worked for Old Mother HubbardCompany in Lowell and later at Wang Laboratories in Tewksbury and Lowell. She retired fromModicon Company in Andover.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Lithuanian Church in Lowell, and was an active volunteerat Lowell General Hospital.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Jo and her husband Jeffrey Crowder of No.Billerica, four sons and their spouses, John A. Lange and his dear friend Silvia Durkee of St.Petersburg, Fla., Richard C. Lange and his dear friend Jeanette Miliante of Boynton Beach, Fla.,Michael S. and his wife Joanne (Sanborn) Lange of Lowell, and Robert L. Lange and his dearfriend Martha Rappe of Chelmsford, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Marie Durgan ofTewksbury, Carolann and her husband James Boumil of Dracut, a sister-in-law, Ida (Zecchino)Carpenito of Tewksbury, former daughters-in-law Karen Hastings of Pelham, NH, and Leslie (Mulhern) Lange of Manchester, NH, a dear friendCatherine Vescoteaux of Lowell, five grandchildren, Kristen, Ashlee, Zachary, Richard Jr.,Nicholas, and two great grandchildren, Anthony and Nathaniel.

She was also mother of the late David Michael Lange and sister of the late Alfred “Fred”Carpenito.

Her FuneralMass was held Wednesday, June 19, in St. Joseph’s Lithuanian Church. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, No.Tewksbury.
