LOWELL - David Bruce Penney Jr., age 34, former Rite Aid Pharmacy manager and seasoned traveler, passed away at his Belvidere home in Lowell on Friday, April 6. He was the life partner of Zakery Blake, with whom he resided.
David, the son of the late David B. and Mary A. (Walsh) Penney, was born in Malden, in June 1983, and raised in Malden and Tewksbury.
He graduated from Arlington Catholic High School, and matriculated to the Mass College of Pharmacy in Manchester, NH, where he earned a Pharm-D degree and board certification as a Pharmacist. He worked up to Pharmacy Manager at Rite Aid in North Tewksbury, and had recently transferred his career to the PillPack company in Manchester, NH.
David was an intrepid sojourner, and had visited exotic locations such as French Polynesia, the Caribbean, Europe and South America.
Besides his partner, he leaves his sister, Katelyn Wiseheart and her husband Justin of Tewksbury; his beloved nephews, Dylan and Gavin Wiseheart; his dearest friend, Jill Rodenhiser of Peabody; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visiting hours Thursday, April 12, from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the Tewksbury Funeral Home, corner of 1 Dewey and 975 Main Sts. (Rte. 38) TEWKSBURY CENTER. Interment will be private.
