MARJORIE (FERRIS) RIDPATH, age 86, of Hingham, died on Tuesday, Nov. 8th at the Life Care Center of the South Shore in Scituate. She was born in Boston and was a lifelong resident of Hingham, graduating from Hingham High School in 1937. For many years Mrs. Ridpath was a cafeteria worker for the Hingham School Department and was proud of being a Mayflower Descendant.
She leaves her husband, Maurice C. Ridpath of Hingham and three daughters; Susan H. Romano and Martha J. Nawab both of Hingham and Sally Pitches of Carlstadt, NJ. She was also the mother of the late Stephen R. Ridpath. Sister of Richard Ferris of Hingham and the late Oliver L. Ferris. Also survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Monday, Nov. 14th at 12 Noon at the Downing Cottage Funeral Chapel, 21 Pond St., Hingham.
Friends may visit at the Downing Chapel on Monday, prior to the service, from 11 AM - 12 Noon.
Interment in Hingham Centre Cemetery.
