Carolyn Stone Pridgen, 68, of West Green, Georgia, formerly of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, April 2, 2018, at Shady Acres Convalescent Home in Douglas, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, April 5, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Hugh Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Pridgen was born September 10, 1949, in Lakeland, Georgia, to the late Jack & Margaret Louise Browning Stone. She lived in Ben Hill County most of her life and moved to the West Green area a few years ago. Mrs. Pridgen was a former employee of Southern Roasted Nuts. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and fishing. She dearly loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mrs. Pridgen was a member of Pineview Church of God in West Green.
She is survived by her children: Russell Hulett & Joy of West Green, Danny Hulett of Fitzgerald and Lynn Reliford & James of Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brothers: Bobby Stone & Mary of Lakeland and Jack Allen Stone & Velda of Pearson and a sister, Martha Jane Stone of Lakeland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Curtis Pridgen, one sister and one grandson.
