Mary T. (Thomas) Hardin, 77, of New Bedford died Friday June 14, 2002 at St. Luke's Hospital. She was the wife of the late Diab G. Hardin, and daughter of the late Michael and Rachael (Jacob) Thomas.
Mrs. Hardin was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.
She was a lifelong communicant of Our Lady of Purgatory Church.
Mrs. Hardin was formerly employed as a supervisor at Kay Windsor for many years until her retirement.
She loved to travel, especially having enjoyed many trips to Lebanon.
Survivors include 2 brothers, Anthony H. Thomas, and his wife Margaret, and Joseph M. Thomas, and his wife Norma, all of New Bedford; a sister, Anna Thomas of New Bedford; a brother-in-law, Karam G. Hardin of Lebanon; 3 nephews, her godson Michael Thomas of New Bedford, Henry Hardin of Lebanon and Tony Hardin of Pittsburgh; and 5 nieces, Rosemarie Thomas Twomey of Dartmouth, Patricia Thomas, Joan Thomas Mello and Rachael Thomas, all of New Bedford, and Sarah Thomas Hitchings of Brussels, Belgium.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordMonday June 17, 2002 at 9 AM.Divine Liturgy at Our Lady of Purgatory Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours are on Sunday June 16, 2002 from 5-9 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
