Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (Rte 123) Brockton Wednesday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church West Bridgewater at 11 am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 3-7 pm. Donations in Bill’s name may be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital 332 N. Lauderdale, Memphis, TN 38105.
Obituary
Mr. Chaplic died Sunday morning at the Brockton Hospital after a brief illness. He was born and raised in Brockton a son of the late John and Dorothy (Simmons) Chaplic. For the past 21 years he had been a resident of West Bridgewater. As a teenager was in the Merchant Marines and during the Korean Conflict he served in the US Army.
Mr. Chaplic retired as the frozen food manager at Star Market in Norwell. Previously he had been a Goodyear stitcher at Knapp Shoe and Potvin Shoe in Brockton.
Mr. Chaplic was a member of JOY in West Bridgewater, Matfield Woods Owners Association and the American Legion.
He enjoyed cooking, cookbooks and watching cooking programs. He also loved playing the Lottery.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years Anna P. (Woods) Chaplic, his daughter Julie A. Anderson of East Bridgewater and four grandchildren. He also leaves many nieces and nephews
He was the brother of the late John and Ralph Chaplic
