Florence Dale Boxx, 82, died November 5, 2005 in Haleyville, AL at the Haleyville Health Center.
The visitation will be held on Tuesday morning November 8, 2005 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 9:30 until 11:00 am. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Tuesday in Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Dr. Randy Bain presiding. The committal will take place in Bethel Cemetery with Charles E. Gordon, James Gordon, Jim Evans, Hugh Gurner, Tim Goar, Clay Goar, Danny Gordon, and Wallace Donaldson serving as pallbearers.
Mrs. Boxx was retired from Southern Bell as a telephone operator. Born in Water Valley, MS, she married Luther David Boxx. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, VFW Auxillary, and a Pioneer(telephone company).
Mrs Boxx is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luther David Boxx; one sister, Lela Massie Evans; and eight brothers, Elmer Hartwell Gordon, Hulet Gordon, Charlie Lee Gordon, Woodrow Ruby Gordon, Robert Clayton Gordon, Hugh Ferrell Gordon, William Massie, and J. B. Massie and by her parents, Joseph P. and Nanny C. Ruby Gordon.
