WEBSTER –Anne M. (Polubinskas) Starzec, 78, of 69 Worcester Road, died Saturday, Nov. 5, at home after an illness surrounded by her family.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Raymond A. Starzec; 2 daughters, Sally A. Patterson and her husband James F. Patterson III of Webster, and Veronica A. Jacobs and her husband Peter L. Jacobs of Dudley; 5 grandchildren, James Patterson IV and his wife Rebecca, Raymond Patterson and his wife Lori, and Joseph Patterson, and Anne-Marie and Allison Androlewicz; 4 great grandchildren, Alycia Patterson, James Patterson V, Joshua and Bryce Pattterson; nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Dudley, the youngest of the 5 children of Alexander and Mary (Link) Polubinskas. She lived in Webster for many years. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1945.
Mrs. Starzec worked for over 25 years at the Webster Five Cent Savings Bank on Main St. and then on Thompson Road. She was a teller, head teller, and mortgage officer, retiring in 1990.
She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica. She was accomplished in sewing, needlework and cross-stitch. She enjoyed her annual flower garden. Above all, she treasured her family.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Nov. 9, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., with a Mass at 11:30 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb St. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. A calling period will be from 9:15 to 10:45 AM Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the funeral home.
