Funeral from the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 10 am. Funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, W. Bridgewater at 11 am. Burial in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 pm.
Obituary
Mr. Bottini died Thursday evening at the Life Care Center of West Bridgewater after a lengthy illness. Born in Somerville, a son of the late John and Mary (Casella) Bottini. He was raised in Medford and was a graduate of Medford High School Class of 1938. For the past 50 years he had been a resident of Brockton. During WW II he served in the US Navy on the USS Texas in European and Pacific Theaters. He was a retired machinist of Ward Machine Shop in Brockton after many years. He looked forward to daily breakfast and with his special friends the Romeos (Retired Old Men Eating Out). He enjoyed bowling in the city league at Maple Alleys and a was huge Boston Braves fan. He was member of the Sons of Italy.
He is survived by two sons, John F. “Jack” Bottini and his wife Beverly of W. Bridgewater and Thomas H. Bottini of Brockton and the late Paul Bottini, his grandchildren, Gina MacLean of Holbrook, Michael Bottini of Bridgewater, Alicia Bottini and Joseph Bottini both of W. Bridgewater a sister Mary B. Penella of N. Quincy , several nieces and nephews and a dear friend Ardele Smart of Whitman.
He was the husband of the late Evelyn (Duncan) Bottini and brother of the late Mildred E. Hurley and Eleanor C. Bottini.
