FALL RIVER… Genevieve A. Pietraszek, 88, formerly of Tiverton, passed away, March 2, 2018, at the Fall River Jewish Home after a lengthy illness.
Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Stanislaw and Karolina (Dziedzic) Pietraszek and had lived in Tiverton since 1975.
Ms. Pietraszek was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Church in Fall River. She was employed by the Newport Naval College as a Stenographer with the N.S.A. where she was quite skilled. Prior to the Naval College she had been a Stenographer with Stone and Webster Engineering Co.
Ms. Pietraszek had a special touch with flowers and plants. She also enjoyed embroidering as well as reading, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her sister, Helen G. Pietraszek of Tiverton, a niece, Joan Hopf of Goffstown, NH, and a grandniece, Melissa Hopf of Manchester, NH. She was the sister of the late Thaddeus A. Pietraszek.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be held Friday March 9, 2018 at 9 AM from the BOYKO MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 709 Broadway, Fall River, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church, 37 Rockland Street, Fall River, MA. Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours will be Thursday, March 8, 2018 from 4 - 7 PM.
