Obituary

Robert L. Fortin, 65 of Londonderry, NH died Thursday, November 3, 2005 in his home, surrounded by his family. He was born in Manchester, NH on August 9, 1940, a son of the late Alphonse and Yvonne (Halde) Fortin and was a lifelong resident of Londonderry. He was employed as a cook at the Webster House in Manchester for more than 15 years and had formerly owned and operated the Elm St. Diner and Fortin’s Place Restaurant, both in Manchester. Mr. Fortin was an active communicant of St. Jude Parish and enjoyed gardening.

Members of the family include his wife of 42 years, Rita S. (Laplante) Fortin of Londonderry, two daughters, Marie Martin and her husband Scott of Manchester, and Tina Preston-Roberge and her husband Roger Roberge of Londonderry, five grandchildren, four sisters, Laurette Caron and Yvette Carle, both of Manchester, Lucille Demers and Pauline Ferron, both of Londonderry, many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Monday, November 7, 2005 at 10 AM in St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Friends called on Sunday, November 6th from 4 to 7 PM at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. Following cremation, burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Parish, 435 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry, NH 03053.
