Johnny Frank Pridgen, 48, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Thursday, November 3 2005 at Dorminy Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Sunday, November 6, 2005, at New Corinth Holiness Church, Ben Hill County, with Bro. Travis Day, Bro. Vernon Hughes and Bro. Neil Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 7 to 9, Friday and Saturday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Pridgen was born September 23, 1957, in Ben Hill County, Georgia, to C.C. and Opal Wells Pridgen. He was a 1975 graduate of Fitzgerald High School, a graduate of Ben Hill-Irwin Technical School with a degree in Drafting and he attended South Georgia College. Mr. Pridgen worked for the past several months at Elixir Industries and for over thirteen years he was a Designer for Blue Bird Body Company in Fort Valley. He was a former employee of United Farm Tools and Georgia Displays. Mr. Pridgen attended New Corinth Holiness Church. He was an avid fisherman and sports competitor, including golf and basketball.
Mr. Pridgen is survived by his wife: Constance Bowen Pridgen of Fitzgerald; son and daughter-in-law: Eric and Arly Pridgen of Wray; daughter: Amy Pridgen of Fitzgerald; grandson: Jackson Pridgen of Wray; parents: Junior and Opal Wells Pridgen of Wray; brother: Robert Pridgen of Tifton and grandmother: Annie Y. Wells of Fitzgerald.
