WEST YARMOUTH - Miriam D. (Fisher) Leach, 93, of West Yarmouth, formerly of East Bridgewater, died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005, at Eagle Pond Rehabilitation and Living Center in South Dennis. She was the wife of the late Thomas Leach.
Born March 17, 1912 in E. Bridgewater, she was the daughter of the late Lester R. and Mabel C. (Todd) Fisher.
Mrs. Leach was a school teacher in East Bridgewater for many years, retiring in 1974.
She had been a resident of West Yarmouth for 20 years, coming from E, Bridgewater.
Mrs. Leach enjoyed music, sewing, crossword puzzles and collected swans.
She is survived by her daughter and son, Deborah A. Bates of Yarmouth and David S. Leach of West Bridgewater; her brother, Stanton Fisher of Marshfield; a sister-in-law, Louise Carlson of Wareham; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was also sister-in-law of the late Marla Fisher.
Her Funeral Service will be held in the Prophett Funeral Home, 98 Bedford St. (Rte. 18), Bridgewater, Thursday at 10 am. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Burial in Central Cemetery, E. Bridgewater.
