WORCESTER-Bernard J. Dixon, Jr., 73, of 211 Lincoln Street died Friday, June 14th in UMass Memorial Healthcare, Memorial Campus. He leaves a brother Robert P. Dixon of Jupiter, FL, and a sister Mary C. Dow of Worcester and several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Bernard J. and Elizabeth G. (Portle) Dixon. Mr. Dixon had worked in the maintenance department at the College of the Holy Cross, for many years, he retired in 1992. He was a member of Our Lady of the Angles Parish and was a daily communicant there. Mr. Dixon was also a lifelong member of the Alhambra Council, Knights of Columbus, District 88.
The funeral will be Monday, June 17th from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, June 16th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
