Lola Addison Powell, 60, of Abbeville, Georgia, died Monday, February 5, 2018, at her residence.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Thursday, February 8, 2018, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Allen Hulett officiating. Interment will follow in Morningside Cemetery, in Rochelle. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening, from 6 PM until 8 PM, at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Powell was born October 23, 1957, in Cartersville, Georgia, to the late Lottie Paul & Audrey Alleen Mahan Addison. She was a former factory worker, convenience store clerk and an aide at assisted living homes. Mrs. Powell liked to fish, grow roses and shop at the Dollar Tree. She especially loved spending time with her grandkids.
She is survived by her children: Belinda Powell & fiancé, Steven Brannen of Fitzgerald and Tammie Powell Vasquez & Victor of Abbeville; grandchildren: Kayla Keen Sheppard & Zach, Graham Keen, Matthew Vasquez, Victor Vasquez, Jr. and Rosa Vasquez; siblings: Paul Addison of LaFayette, Florrie Williams of Pembroke, Jeanette Sutton & Herman of Rochelle and William Addison of Abbeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy William Powell.
