Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Monday at 9:30 am Funeral Service in the Pearl Street Methodist Church at 10:30 am. Burial in Union Cemetery, Brockton. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 pm.
Obituary Information
Mrs. Bowen died on Wednesday at the Brockton Hospital after a period of failing health. Born in Brockton, she was a daughter of the late Roy A. and Adelaide (Shiner) Easton. She had been a life long resident of Brockton. Lillian graduated from Brockton High School and continued her education, graduating from the South Shore Nursing School as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She had been employed as a full time nurse at the Phaneuf Hospital, and also worked in nursing homes in the Brockton area, retiring as a Private Care Nurse. She had been a member of the Golden Ages of Brockton and enjoyed crossword puzzles and watching Tennis Tournaments on television.
She is survived by by her husband of 59 years, Homer H. Bowen, 2 sons Francis Bowen of Tempe, AZ and Leon Bowen of Foxborough, 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, severalnieces and nephews, and a sister Eva M. Solomon of Brockton. Mrs. Bowen was the mother of the late Warren R. Moore, Jr.
