Mrs. Evelyn H. (Romanoski) Bunker, a resident of Andover for 40 years and beloved wife of the late Mr. Milton H. Bunker, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018.
Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on December 3, 1930, she was the beloved daughter of the late Joseph S. and Anna C. Romanoski. Evelyn is predeceased by her brother J. Stephen Romanoski and sister Marie Boring.
Evelyn is survived by her son David F. and wife Mary J. Bunker of Westford, MA and daughter Stephanie M. and husband Robert S. Wright of Andover, MA, grandchildren Zachary and Jordan Bunker and Grace and Andrew Wright.
After graduating from Saint Elizabeth Hospital with a nursing degree, she worked at the Visiting Nurses Association, providing comfort and care to people in their homes. For the last 30 years of her career, Evelyn worked at Massachusetts General Hospital as a private duty nurse. She loved to travel as well as paint, sew, knit and cook. Her care and compassion for her patients, family and friends was limitless and she will be dearly missed by those who knew her.
Her Funeral will be celebrated in St. Augustine Church, 43 Essex Street, Andover on Monday, January 29, 2018, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are most welcome to attend. Calling hours will be held in the Burke-Magliozzi Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 2 to 5 PM. Interment will be held in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover.
