New Bedford - Branca "Pearl" Costa aged 87 years, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2005, at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. She was the sister of the late Ory Costa, Godmother of Linda Huston of New Bedford, cousin of Deolinda Novo Vieira and Vincent Novo both of New Bedford and close friend of Ed Sylvia CPA of Fairhaven and Steven Brown of New Bedford. She was also very fond of her 2 cats Queenie and Missy
Ms. Costa was born in New Bedford and lived in the South End for most of her life. She was a daughter of the late John Antone Costa and Mary (Oliveira) Costa . Ms. Costa was very devoted to her parents and spent many years caring for them.She enjoyed lunching at Davy's Locker and Friendly's and she liked to dance
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 31, 2005 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery. Visiting hours will be 4 - 6 P.M. on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St.
