Isabel Cruz age 59 of Brockton, died Sunday January 21, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Pietro Randazzo and the late Miguel Cruz. Isabel was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico a daughter of Isabel Alvarez of Waltham and the late Petro Vazquez. She had lived in Brockton since 1996 and previously lived in Waltham for 25 years.
Isabel had been a caseworker at the Westwood Lodge in Canton and BAMSI in Brockton. She had been very active in the Latino community especially with WATCH, Waltham Alliance To Create Housing. She was very passionate about helping people and was an advocate for those who could not defend themselves.
She loved dancing and spending time with her family and was especially proud of her grandchildren and her children’s accomplishments.
Isabel was the mother of Annette Colon and her husband Emile of Waltham, Miguel Cruz and his wife Christina of Brockton, Isabelle Randazzo of Brockton and Loredana Randazzo of Brockton. She also leaves 3 grandchildren Eden, Keoni and Leonidas. She is survived by her brother and sisters Margartita Vazquez of Clinton, Susana Rosario of Cambridge, Ramona Vazquez of Waltham, Juan Vazques of Brockton and Ana Rosado of Belmont, many nieces and nephews and her mother-in-law Estebania Cruz of Waltham.
Visiting hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton on Wednesday January 24 from 4-8pm. The procession will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 9am for a funeral Mass in St. Patrick Church, Brockton at 10am. Burial will be private for immediate family only.
