Josephine M. (Ditata) Danielli, 79, of Fairhaven died October 30, 2005 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River after a brief illness.
She was the wife of the late Henry F. Danielli.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Carmine and Michelina (Vanelli) Ditata, she lived in Fairhaven since 1957.
She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church in Fairhaven.
Mrs. Danielli was formerly employed as a private caterer, catering in many local homes and at the Tifereth Israel Congregation. She previously worked at the New Bedford Hotel.
An avid bowler, she bowled in the Peaches and Cream Cheese Cake League at Wonder Bowl. She was a member of of the St. Francis of Assisi Seniors and enjoyed her Bingo.
Her happiest moments were spent with her granddaughter Jenna.
Survivors include her son, Henry F. Danielli, Jr. of Fairhaven; her granddaughter whom she raised, Jenna A. Danielli of Fairhaven; 3 sisters, Mary Luminiello, and her husband William, of Fairhaven, Carmelina "Carmy" Davis of Dartmouth and Antoinette "Dinny" Beaumont, and her husband Fred, of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Gabriel Ditata, and his wife Carol, of Marion and Charles Ditata, and his wife Barbara, of Dartmouth; a sister-in-law, Viola Sylvia of New Bedford; a close friend, Sonja Johnsen of Fairhaven; many nieces, including Diane Ste. Marie and Nancy Beaumont, nephews and cousins.
She was the mother of the late Ralph P. Danielli and Nancy Ann Danielli and sister of the late Angelina Ditata.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6), Mattapoisett, Thursday, November 3rd at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Visiting hours Wednesday, November 2nd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
