Karen E. Kelleher, 79

Dateline: Washingtonville, New York

Karen E. (Daley) Kelleher, age 79, of Washingtonville, New York, formerly of Norton passed away in the presence of her adoring family on Thursday, January 18, 2018 at the Colonial Poplin Nursing & Rehabilitation Home in Fremont, NH. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles L. Kelleher, to whom she was wed for forty-six years.

Born in Detroit, Michigan on March 14, 1938, she was a loving daughter of the late Richard and Dorothy (Faddis) Daley.

Karen grew up and was educated in Detroit and Grosse Point, Michigan. She attended both Albion College and Western Michigan University.

Mrs. Kelleher retired as an accounting manager following a twenty-eight career at Cumberland Farms. She had made her home in Washingtonville for the past nine years and previously in Norton for thirty-five years, where she was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church.

Karen’s favorite times by far were those spent with her family, especially with her treasured grandchildren. Her hobbies included reading and puzzles, and she was an avid and loyal fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by her devoted children Jane E. Hoyt and her husband Dan of Windham, NH, Thomas M. Kelleher and his wife Kelly of Washingtonville, NY, Dennis M. Kelleher and his wife Aoife of Attleboro and the late Cynthia Ann Kelleher. She was the cherished grandmother of Jacqueline DeVoe and her husband Ricky, Margo Allen and her husband Kevin, Eoin Kelleher, Cian Kelleher, Ryan Kelleher and great grandmother of Liam DeVoe. She was the dear sister of Kent Daley of Phoenix, AZ, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will begin on Wednesday, January 24th at 9:00 A.M. from the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a Mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 1 Power St., Norton. Burial will follow at the Timothy Plain Cemetery in Norton.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, January 23rd from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
