Ramona C. Sumner, 78, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Friday, October 28, 2005, at Baptist Village in Waycross, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, October 31, 2005, at Frank Primitive Baptist Church, with Elder Ed McIntyre and Elder Emerson Proctor officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 9:00 Sunday evening.
Mrs. Sumner was born May 7, 1927, in Walton County, Georgia, to the late Clarence Rufus and Fannie Lee Sorrow Huff. After the death of her father, she was raised by her mother and step-father, the late Clarence David Sosebee. She was employed by the Bank of Ocilla (now Citizens Security) for more than 25 years prior to her retirement in 1992. She had resided at Baptist Village in Waycross since May 2004.
Mrs. Sumner is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Karen & Bob Seibold of Plano, Texas and Kathy & Keith Yarbrough of Waycross; four grandchildren: Lauren Seibold of Dallas, TX, Catherine (Jim) Olson of Norcross, Matthew (Candice) Yarbrough of Orlando, FL, and Susan Yarbrough of Waycross and Macon; one brother: Aubrey Sosebee of Dacula; and many other relatives, friends, and a loving church family at Frank Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years: Curtis Jack Sumner; three sisters: Ruth Johnson, Wilma Allen, and Louise Stewart; and one brother: Bayward Sosebee.
