Obituary

WORCESTER___Charles A. Budd, 81, of Worcester, died Thursday, October 27, in his home.
He leaves a son, Dennis Budd and his wife Nancy of Mashpee; two grand daughters and 6 great granddaughters. He was born in Worcester, son of Charles and Anna (Matulaitis) Budinavicius and lived here all his life. He is predeceased by his brother Leonard Budinvicius, 1941.
Mr. Budd was a firefighter and later a Lieutenant with the Worcester Fire Department where he worked 28 years before retiring in 1977. He was a graduate of the machinist program at Worcester Boys Trade High School where he played football and basketball. Charles was also a “watchmaker” both making and repairing watches. He enjoyed fishing for stripe bass on Cape Cod and was a member of the Massachusetts Beachbuggy Association and the Worcester Striper Club. Mr. Budd was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. He was a former member of the Lithuanian Naturalization Club, American Legion Post 86, the Worcester Fire Department Relief Association and Local 1009.
The funeral and calling hours will be private. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Local 1009 Scholarship Fund, 625 Chandler Street, Worcester, 01602. HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL SERVICE, 33 Ward St., is directing funeral arrangements
