Worcester - Andrew Bjorkman, 84, died on Tuesday October 25 in the Saint Francis Home after an illness.
His wife Claire (Roy) Bjorkman died in 1999. He is survived by two sons Andrew Bjorkman III of West Boylston, and James Bjorkman of Worcester; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces. Mr. Bjorkman is predeceased by two sisters Dorothy Angelico and Mildred Benoit. He was born in Lowell son of Andrew and Valda Bjorkman.
Mr. Bjorkman is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. He worked in the paint repair department of General Motors for 35 years before retiring in 1982.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday October 31 at 10 AM in St. Columba Church 18 Richards Ave. Paxton. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Saint Francis Home 101 Plantation Street Worcester, MA 01604. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. is directing arrangements.
