Obituary

PEPIN, Joseph A. Retired Sgt. Cambridge Police Department, of Franklin formerly of West Roxbury passed away suddenly on January 4, 2018. Beloved husband of Margaret “Midgie” (Andrewzusky) Pepin. Cherished son of Mildred Pepin of Norwood and the late Joseph Pepin. Devoted father of Helen VonHandorf and her husband Chris of Norwood, Lisa Pepin of New Jersey, Todd Pepin of Franklin, and Nicholas Pepin of Franklin. Loving Grandfather of Jason, Joseph, and Kailey VonHandorf.

Brother of Janice DiBella, James Pepin, William Pepin, and the late Mary E. Johnson and Barbara Sarkas. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Decorated disabled Vietnam War Veteran, U.S. Army. Joseph participated in the inaugural escort of Wreaths Across America from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia. Late member of the Patriot Guard Riders Motorcycle Group. Late secretary of the Cambridge Police Officers Association and member of Cambridge Police honor guard.

Funeral from the P.E. Murray - F.J. Higgins - George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 2000 Centre Street, West Roxbury on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at 9 AM. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Theresa of Avila Church, West Roxbury at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, January 8th, 2018 from 4-8 PM. Interment Mount Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
