Erma Chesbro (Lawrence) Heaslip, 92, died Sunday at Mystic Manor. She was the wife of the late Stuart Heaslip.
She is survived by two sons, Lawrence Heaslip of Groton and James Heaslip and his wife Lindsay of Ledyard; a granddaughter, Toby Heaslip of Ledyard; cousins Bernice and Everell Watrous of Mystic; and a close family friend, Linda Gavitt of Mystic.
An accomplished seamstress, she enjoyed sewing and knitting. Erma also took great pride in being a nurse for many years. She was a member of the Old Mystic Baptist Church.
A Graveside Funeral Service will be conducted at Elm Grove Cemetery, Rte. 27, Mystic on Wednesday at 2pm. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Old Mystic Baptist Church, PO Box 125, Old Mystic Ct 06372.
