Kenneth R. Fisher Sr.
...retired Deputy Superintendent at MCI Concord; 67
WESTMINSTER - Kenneth R. Fisher, age 67, the retired Deputy Superintendent at MCI
Concord, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Oct. 23, at the Heywood Hospital in Gardner, after
suffering an apparent heart attack at his home in Westminster. He was the husband of Kathryn
(Nawossa) Fisher.
He was born in Lowell, February 2, 1938, a son of the late Albert G. and Frances (Brooks)
Fisher. He was raised in North Tewksbury, and attended Tewksbury public schools. He went on
to graduate from the University of Lowell.
He served in the US Marine Corps, during the Korean War era.
He was employed as the Deputy Superintendent at NCCI Gardner, and later retired from MCI
Concord as the Deputy Superintendent.
Since retirement he was a member in the Westminster Rod and Gun Club, and since recently
purchasing a home in Weston, Vermont, was active in the Wantastiquet Trout Club, and the
Weston Rod and Gun Club.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth R. Fisher Jr. and his
wife Phyllis (Stidham) of Gardner, and Randy T. Fisher and his wife Veda (Cramer) also of
Gardner; one grandson, Michael S. Fisher of Gardner; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Harry
Fisher and his wife Merci of Weston, VT, Daniel Fisher and his wife Josephine of Tewksbury; a
brother and sister-in-law, Paul Nawossa and his wife Anna (Jardine) of Tewksbury; and many
nieces and nephews.
He was also brother of the late Albert G. Fisher Jr., Hazel Squelia, Dale Fisher and Sandra Fisher.
His Funeral Mass was held Oct. 26, in St.
William’s Church, Tewksbury. Following cremation, his interment will be
private. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Westminster Firefighters Assn., P.O. Box 640,
Westminster, MA 014573, will be appreciated.
