WEBSTER - Esther M. Grzyb, 83, died Monday, December 4, 2017 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard.
She leaves nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Grzyb and by a sister, Irene Deary.
She was born and raised in Webster, the daughter of Frank and Mary M. (Witkowski) Grzyb. She graduated from Bartlett High School in 1952 and then from the Burbank Hospital School of Nursing in 1955. She lived in Fitchburg for 40 years before returning here in 1998.
Ms. Grzyb was a registered nurse and later a supervisor at the former Burbank Hospital in Fitchburg. She retired in 1995.
She was a communicant of Saint Louis Church in Webster. The family wishes to thank the VNA of Southern Worcester County for their care and kindness. The family wishes to acknowledge her dear friends and neighbors who were such a blessing to Esther.
Ms. Grzyb donated her body to the Anatomical Gift Department of UMass Hospital for biomedical research. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to St. Louis Church, 15 Lake Street, Webster, MA 01570. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
