Obituary

Donald Lee Pine, Sr. 85, of Elwood went to be with the Lord December 7, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital in Elwood.

He was born October 13, 1932 in Anderson, the son of Ralph and Mildred (Coburn) Pine.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Don worked production at Delco Remy for 33 years before retiring.
He was a member of Ford Street United Methodist Church in Lapel; Central Indiana Old Car Club, Model A Club and the American Legion.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Judith "Judy" (Lewis) Pine of Elwood whom he married September 1, 1953 in Anderson; three children, Joni Swinford of Anderson; Donald (Barbara) Pine, Jr. of Elwood and Vicki (Bob) Wayman of Pendleton, eight grandchildren, Krista, Zachary, Sarah, Jason, Andrea, Brandon, Shawn and Scott; 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Evelyn Sefsick and La Donna Chambless.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Glenn Knepp of Ford Street United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be given to Madison County Humane Society or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
