Irene M. DeMelis, 77 of Stoneham, died Tuesday in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston following a lengthy illness. Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and the late Josephine (Capone) Testa. Irene was a Stoneham resident for twenty years formerly of Medford and was very devoted to her family.
Mrs. DeMelis is survived by her beloved husband Anthony C. DeMelis. Her two sons, Ronald C. DeMelis of Revere and Kenneth P. DeMelis of Chelsea and two loving grandchildren, Ronald DeMelis Jr. and Marisa DeMelis. Sister of Felix Testa and Gloria Rossetti both of Medford, Helen LaVita of Somerville, Jean Boccuzzi of Wilmington, the late Alfred and Albert Testa. Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Saturday at 8 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 514 High St. Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 9. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
